Hi Gents,

The EliteDrafters.com site is becoming ALIVE and a powerful resource paired with my Substack where I will continue to post my articles and analysis. Please DM me any feedback you all have — I always appreciate your honest thoughts as well as your support.

With all that said, these Week 1 and Week 2 articles have started to highlight some of the powerful NFL fantasy data on the site — including target share, snap %, fantasy points, and much more. Let's dive into the Week 2 recap as we prepare for the Week 3 waiver wire in redraft and the rest of the dynasty season.

Denzel Boston Goes Nuclear

With two top-24 finishes to start the year, it's becoming clear Boston may be a formidable starting future WR1 in the NFL. College profile·

We saw Week 1 introduce the 2026 WR class's upside bets (Caleb Douglas and Antonio Williams), while Week 2 provided us clarity on where to potentially anchor down (Denzel Boston, and other high snap % guys like Tate and KC).

In Cleveland, Deshaun Watson and OC Travis Switzer kept feeding the rookie who already looked like a starter — Denzel Boston — and the box score finally broke out of the seams with a top-12 finish to match his dominant snap % to start the year (92.5%, which leads all rookies).

Paired with Boston's continued progress we see Watson was super efficient again (24-of-30, 238 yards). Jerry Jeudy vanished to one target and zero catches. Fellow rookie KC Concepcion still ate six looks. But Boston was the clear WR1 in the building: seven targets, five catches, 95 yards, and another touchdown. That is 20.5 PPR — first among all Week 2 rookie WRs — on a 93% snap share and a 23.3% target share, both also first or second in the class.

Now I know I was lower on Boston's profile due to his career YPRR of 2.00 in college, and I own that, because ultimately we need to be careful to avoid areas where the data has not been kind to prospects — which led us to avoiding risky propositions in the past such as Xavier Legette, Keon Coleman, and Adonai Mitchell, while leaning in on others such as Emeka Egbuka, Ladd McConkey, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. However, the predictive analytics table and insights did spot two strengths in his college profile.

Ultimately, Boston is an alpha X receiver, which in general has been against the trend of where the NFL has moved the past five years with the elite separators really shining.

However, we are seeing his more traditional alpha skills translate to the NFL — a dominant snap % and target %. Volume is king. Meanwhile, Boston did have the draft capital which is the best predictive metric for WR success in the NFL, as an early second-round pick. Ultimately, Boston is a good case study to not get too low on a prospect when he has elite characteristics, draft capital, and volume. In the here and now…

If we stack the first two weeks together we see an impressive NFL start. Boston opened with 2-59-1 on four targets at a 92% snap clip in Week 1 (13.9 PPR). He followed it with the best rookie fantasy line of Week 2 and the only 2026 WR to crack the overall top 24. Through two games he leads the class in fantasy points (34.4 PPR), sits alone atop the snap board (92.5%), and shares the top target share tier at 21.2%. Deshaun Watson has a size target who is already separating from Jeudy in the weekly pecking order.
